Infield & Catcher's Camp ($130/Player for Both Days) (past)

Session #1 – 9:00 – 11:00am for 10 -12-year-olds - $130.00

Session #2 – Noon – 2:00pm for 13 – 17-year-olds - $130.00

We will be offering an infielder camp (all ages) & catchers camp (10-12 years old) at Smash it Sports on July 12 & 13.  We will be utilizing the full turf infield at Smash It to teach infielders:

• Pre-pitch footwork
• Pregame fielding progression program
• Glove work and footwork on ground balls hit at the fielder
• Glove work and footwork on backhand and forehand ground balls 
• Glove work and footwork on slow rollers
• Double play feeds 
• Bunt play responsibilities
• Run down techniques
• Cut & relay responsibilities 
• Infield in & plays to the plate
• Pick-offs mechanics
• Getting down tags

And 10- to 12-year-old catchers will work on individual skills (blocking/framing) but also....

• Throws to bases including 1st and 3rds
• Plays to plate with infield in and getting tags down
• Plays to plate with infield in and going on to first for double play
• Bunt communication

8 time section V and former NYS Class A Championship coach Jim Capellupo will run this camp along with Anthony Gonzalez who was a former college infielder and currently is the Aquinas Institute Varsity Assistant coach plus many college infielders and catchers.
